This is the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), a statutory authority established under the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (“Aadhaar Act 2016”) on 12 July 2016 by the Government of India, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). This website is and its associated portals (including myAadhaar) are designed, developed and maintained by UIDAI.
The website has been developed to provide information to the general public and associated portals have been developed to provide information and enable access to Aadhaar-related services for users residents. An attempt has been made through this website site to provide reliable, comprehensive, accurate information about UIDAI. Hyperlinks at various places have been provided to other Indian Government Portals/Websites.
The content in this website is and associated portals is the result of a collaborative effort of various groups and divisions of UIDAI. It is our endeavour to continue the enhancement and enrichment of this website and portals in terms of content coverage, design and technology on a regular basis.

Thank you for downloading Aadhaar application, the Unified Aadhaar App ("Aadhaar application"), our smartphone app for Android and iOS devices visiting the UIDAI website and associated portals (including myAadhaar) and for reviewing this Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy"). Your privacy and the security of your Aadhaar number, demographic details, and other relevant information are of utmost importance to UIDAI.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about our users ("you"/"Aadhaar Number Holder" resident/user) through the Aadhaar application, available on Google Play and the App Store UIDAI website and associated portals, (collectively referred to as the "Platforms").
I. Certain features and services on the Platforms (including myAadhaar portal) may require you to provide personal information, including 'Personally Identifiable Information'.
II. If you do not wish to use these specific features or services, UIDAI will only collect non-personal information such as usage logs and technical data.
III. You are responsible for ensuring the correctness and accuracy of the Personally Identifiable Information you submit on any of our Platforms. Providing inaccurate information may affect your ability to access or use the Platform(s).
I. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATIONThe Aadhaar application is developed to allow Aadhaar Number Holders to access Aadhaar services on their mobile devices.
The UIDAI website primarily provides information, while associated portals (such as myAadhaar) enable residents to access Aadhaar-related services online.
The Aadhaar application UIDAI website does not automatically capture any specific personal information primarily does not automatically capture personal information (such as name, Aadhaar number, phone number, or email address).
However, for accessing services on associated portals (such as myAadhaar), users may be required to provide limited personal information such as mobile number, Aadhaar number/VID, and OTP for authentication and service delivery purposes.Aadhaar numbers, mobile numbers, OTPs, and other relevant details are collected within the Aadhaar application.

UIDAI records usage logs, authentication events, and service interactions for statistical, security, and audit purposes.
UIDAI makes no attempt to identify individuals beyond what is required for service delivery and security monitoring.
UIDAI shall not disclose and/or share demographic details and/or authentication logs, to any third party(pubic/private) except in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, including the Aadhaar Act and regulations framed thereunder.
Information collected may be used for:
• Providing Aadhaar-related services
• Authentication and verification
• Security monitoring and fraud prevention
• System performance and analytics
System logs, session data, and interaction history may be temporarily stored for audit, troubleshooting, and security purposes.
This site does not use cookies.
